The NY SUP Open, 2nd stop on the 2019 APP World Tour, arrives in Long Beach NY on Labor Day weekend promising fantastic action from 31st August to 7th September in both stand up paddle racing and surf competition.

REGISTER for OPEN & YOUTH Events in Long Beach, NY

The New York SUP Open begins like wildfire on August 31st, Labor Day Weekend, with World Tour Surfing and Pro-Am, Amateur and Entry Level Racing at Long Beach, Long Island.

ProAm technical and distance race courses, plus the fully-anticipated Pro World Title SUP surf competition takes place in FULL VIEW of spectators out front of Skudin Surf in Long Beach as the World Title race heats up on this 2nd stop on the 2019 APP World Tour.

Labor Day Weekend hosts Open and Youth racing including 6KM, 3KM and 1KM races, PLUS technical racing in the surf and a fun downwind course to benefit Surf for All, a non-profit fundraiser powered by the staff at Skudin Surf.

Along with these exciting opening events, the APP Demo pool is to host FREE stand up paddling classes all week long and families can enjoy numerous social events for a robust week of fun and entertainment for everybody.

Fiery 2019 APP World Surfing Tour Kicks Off in Long Beach

The APP World Surfing Competition begins 31st August and runs through 5th September, 2019. A World Title is on the line as reigning champion Sean Poynter faces off for another exciting year against raging bull Poenaiki Raioha, the electric Zane Schweitzer, ever-present Mo Freitas along with other top competitors.

Pro Racing September 5th & 7th in Long Beach & NYC

September 5th will see the Pro Racing component of the APP World Tour kick-off with dynamic Sprint Races in and out of the NY surf break starting at 10:00AM.

The Pro Races will culminate September 7th with a spectacular Long Distance course (9KM) around the Statue of Liberty in one of the most iconic race courses in the history of SUP. Competitors will vie for the NY SUP Open title on their way to accumulating points towards this year’s APP World Championship. This is the second stop on the APP World Racing Tour which launched at the London SUP Open in May, 2019.
