10th Annual Rincon Beachboy SUP Race:  April 6th, 2019

GET READY for the largest SUP event in Puerto Rico!  Rincon Beachboy celebrates its 10th annual event with over $11,000 in cash prizes for the Elite race course!

Rincon Beachboy is hosted at the Villa Cofresi Hotel in Rincon, Puerto Rico.

Preregistration begins ONLINE:  Jan 12th, 2019 6PM until April 4th, 2019 @ 6PM.  All credit cards and PayPal accounts are accepted!


ON SITE Registration @ Villa Cofresi Hotel Lobby is on April 5th, 2019 from 6PM-9PM (cash only).
Or, you can REGISTER at the event on April 6th until 8:00PM on race day (again, cash only please).

Entry Fees:  $20 Kids Race*
$50 Open Race*
$80 Elite Race*

*All race fees include a Rincon Beachboy commemorative t-shirt, competitor shirt, goodie bag and lunch at the Villa Cofresi Hotel.

ELITE Race includes:  SUP 14′ / SUP 12’6 / SUP surfboard/ Prone
Open Race includes:  SUP 14′ / SUP 12’6 / SUP surfboard
Kids Race includes:   Ages 4 – 7; 8 – 10; 11 – 12 Any board

Courses:  Elite Course – 8 miles of open ocean through the iconic surf breaks of Rincon
Open Course:  3 miles of flat water racing

The infamous Rincon Beachboy party goes ALL DAY and includes Live Music, Food, Raffles and LOTS of goodies for competitors.  It is a great day of fun for the entire family!

A portion of the proceeds from this event benefit Salon d’Angelitos d’Amor, a local non-profit benefiting Rincon children with Down’s Syndrome.  Join the kids on the water on race day and see the smiles that your participation brings to a child with Down’s.

Evelyn O'Doherty, editor & publisher of the new Standup Journal 2.0 is a former school teacher gone rogue. She left her career as a teacher in order to spend more time near or on the water after learning to surf turned her life around (upsidedown?). She is a year-round surfer and paddler living on the eastern tip of Long Island in NY who is a certified SUP instructor, seasoned SUP racer and avid longboard surfer. Evelyn was hired as Online Editor to Standup Journal in 2016. Her passion for the project quickly led to her success and eventually taking over the mag herself in Oct. 2018. Today, as editor, publisher and chief bottle washer at Standup Journal, Evelyn keeps her toes wet writing, traveling, paddling, surfing, and learning to foil. You can find her most days paddling out on Gardiner's Bay or surfing Ditch Plains in Montauk, NY.
