Dream it. Believe it. Do it. That’s what Hendre Du Plessis did when he found this nugget off the coast of Mozambique to fulfill a lifelong dream of barrel riding on his 11’6 Amundson surf sup!

Don’t let anyone ever tell you what you CANNOT do: Mozambique on an 11’6
Hendre Du Plesssis reclaims his stoke in this photo he submitted to us here at Standup Journal online. What do we love about it? He defies the odds. He’s never sup surfed a barrel before until he found this sweet swell on his way up the coast. Here’s what he has to say about the shot:
“My first barrel ever. It happened in Tofinho, Mozambique on a 2010 11’6″ Amundson. That’s right… 11’6. She is a tank, but for a 6’4″ and 280lbs man, she does the job great! The Amundson is still my all time favorite board.
This is an amazing surf spot in Mozambique. It is a great place, with nice people, food, beer and some amazing surf spots.” —Submitted by, Hendre Du Plessis
