We, at Standup Journal, love the peeps and the stoke that comes from our regular contributing editors. You know, those people who are so enthusiastic about standup paddling in every size, shape and form that they want to keep sharing about it.
We are lucky enough to have Brent Allen Outside as one of our stellar peeps. Brent has a passion for combining paddling with environmental advocacy and hosts multiple paddles per year that include clean ups of the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary where he lives in Carmel by the Sea, California. Brent’s stoke is real. There is nothing affected about it. He simply loves what he does and has figured out a plan to combine the voice of standup paddling with protecting & preserving our environment.
Here is a recent note he sent us on his commitment to both … and his steadfast friendship with us here at Standup Journal. Aloha, Brent! We salute YOU here at SJ Online!

The world’s first Stand Up Paddle Magazine has been supportive of my small paddle board business in Carmel by the Sea in California since the start in 2014. I have worked in the endurance sport industry for 20 years and have sincere gratitude for those that help others along the way.
The team at Stand Up Journal has regularly posted many of my GoPro videos of paddle adventures in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Many of these videos have been highlight reels of some of the best days of my life in the Pacific Ocean.

Clay Feeter Publisher , Adam Champagne Digital Director , and Online Editor Evelyn O’Doherty have all helped champion my work in environmental stewardship . We at Brent Allen Outside are 110% committed to creating
solutions with collaborative work in the Outdoor Sports Industry , Non-Profit Ocean Advocacy groups , California State Parks , and a whole host of good people that can see we have to get involved at a community level and move
upward.

The Summer edition of Stand Up Journal hit the streets last week and We are STOKED to be in the print edition of Stand Up Journal . The photos profile one of California’s most beautiful state park reserves, Point Lobos, which is located just south of Carmel, CA on the famous Pacific Coast Highway #1.
