Ultimate Athletes

Champion athletes returning from last year include 2016’s Ultimate Waterman Zane Schweitzer (Hawaii), Daniel Kereopa (New Zealand), Connor Baxter (Hawaii), Caio Vaz (Brazil) and Monoa Drollet (PYF).  The other additional three athletes will be announced in the next few weeks.

“This event challenges the athletes mentally and physically in every way – it is an ultra-waterman marathon!”   — Connor Baxter

CEO of The Ultimate Waterman and Surfing New Zealand, Greg Townsend describes the competition as, “a test of skill, strength and spirit, involving world class athletes. The conditions in the most southern parts of New Zealand are very diverse and will challenge the Watermen like never before”.
