Connor Baxter (Starboard) and Fiona Wylde (Starboard & Werner) are victorious on Day1 of the 2016 World Series Finals on Maui. Epic downwind conditions on the World Class Race track from Maliko to Kanaha saw Connor Baxter take victory over Kai Lenny (Naish) in 2nd and Kody Kerbox (Naish) in 3rd. Meanwhile in the women, it was Fiona Wylde who put on another dominant downwind performance to take victory, followed by the ever impressive Annie Reickert (Naish) in 2nd and Talia Decoite in 3rd.

Meanwhile in the Open divisions, it was Ralph Sifford who took victory overall and in the 45+ years old category, followed closely by the legend, Buzzy Kerbox in 2nd and stealing the show as top U17, but also 3rd overall in the Open class, Finn Spencer (Quatro). Ran Gash (Focus SUP) took victory in the 30+ category, while Jayce Suda took the win in the open women.
