First women Stand up paddle 19 mile Run of the Charles in Boston

Global Partner

Hey guys!

Just wanted to point out an amazing accomplishment in sup that happened yesterday. These 2 ladies, Lauren Holliman and Nicole Corbo were the first women to complete the 19 mile Run of the Charles in Boston on Stand up paddle boards!!! This race goes down the Charles river from Dedham to Cambridge.

There are 6 portages where paddlers have to get out of the river and walk/jog/run their boards around dams and back into the water! Total you hoof your board for 1.5 miles! After battling each other for 15 miles, Lauren and Nicole decided they would team up and finish the race together! They crossed the finish line at exactly the same time and high-fived their paddles.

It was Amazing to see them push each other for so many miles then come together at the end and finish with smiles and a new friendship! (Lauren in front on the blue Banh Pho and Crispy Noodle board, Nicole in back on the teal YOLO board) You killed it ladies!!! –Evan Heenehan
