• First ever Lake Garda event in Italy
The beach cleanups on Maui and Dominican Republic resulted in over 100+ bags of garbage being picked up off the beaches proving that the events are positively impacting our small surfcommunities and preserving our natural playground.

“DREAM is especially honored to be part of this great community and global effort to empower women through sport. Many of DREAM’s programs are centered around leveling the playing field for girls and young women in school and life. We believe that the Butterfly Effect is a perfect reflection of those efforts.” Jonathan Wunderlich, Director of Development for DREAM project. The Dominican Republic Education And Mentoring(DREAM) Project is a US 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides quality education for all children born into poverty in rural areas and small communities of the Dominican Republic.

The Butterfly Effect is a wonderful community event, which has grown tremendously since its humble beginnings,” said Mayor Alan Arakawa of Maui. “Organizers did an incredible job making sure everyone was safe in the water and we look forward to an even bigger and better event in the future.
