Mo Freitas shreds Wrightsville Beach’s city streets and classic waves in new video!

Holy MO-ses!   Mo Freitas and the rat pack – including Jorge Quintana, Kieran Grant & Fisher Grant – shred the waves and tear it up on the streets in this new video from Hamboard!

Mo Freitas shreds the gnar on city streets in Wrightsville Beach, NC.   Residents still wondering what just happened.

The crew was in town for the Wrightsville Pro AM last April and Hamboard decided to make GOOD USE of young blood.  Gathering Hamboard team rider, Mo Freitas and friends Fisher Grant, Kieran Grant and Jorge Quntana together, the group took to Wrightsville’s classic lines of surf like a team of mongoose after a rattlesnake.  After that, the boys challenged themselves by surfing the city streets around Wrightsville Beach on Hamboard’s hand crafted longboard skateboards, street stand up paddle boards and land paddles.  The end result is a video that will get your stoke meter rising to push off the desk and get back OUT there to shred …. something!

And NOT just your bills 😉

A great way to finish up this Monday.  Thanks Hamboard!

Evelyn O'Doherty, editor & publisher of the new Standup Journal 2.0 is a former school teacher gone rogue. She left her career as a teacher in order to spend more time near or on the water after learning to surf turned her life around (upsidedown?). She is a year-round surfer and paddler living on the eastern tip of Long Island in NY who is a certified SUP instructor, seasoned SUP racer and avid longboard surfer. Evelyn was hired as Online Editor to Standup Journal in 2016. Her passion for the project quickly led to her success and eventually taking over the mag herself in Oct. 2018. Today, as editor, publisher and chief bottle washer at Standup Journal, Evelyn keeps her toes wet writing, traveling, paddling, surfing, and learning to foil. You can find her most days paddling out on Gardiner's Bay or surfing Ditch Plains in Montauk, NY.
