A shining light has departed our world. John Severson was the founder of Surfer magazine, the editor of Wind Surf, a loving father, a brilliant artist, and a damn good surfer! He was the creative genius who inspired thousands of surf-stoked writers, publishers, photographers, artists, and videographers across our watery planet…and he hired a fresh-out-of-college kid to be his assistant editor at Wind Surf magazine, changing—elevating—my life forever!
My love and condolences to his wonderful family: his wife and soulmate Louise and his daughters Anna and Jenna.
