While Brent Allen was out for the 2nd Annual Point Lobos Stand Up Paddle Kelp Bed clean up a friendly harbor seal stopped by to say hi and see what all the fuss was about.

Brent and his buddy had just spent 2 hours pulling plastics and floating trash from the kelp beds of Whaler’s Cove and Blue Fish Cove which is all part of the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary when they’re new friend arrived.

Thank you guys for taking the initiative to keep our waterways clean and be excellent examples to the rest of us stand up paddlers!

We hope this inspires others to get out there and organize events to help keep our waters clean for future generations.
