The Nelscott Reef wave is one of a kind and put Oregon on the map as far as the surfing community is concerned. Surfers from all over the world come to participate in the Big Wave Classic which started as the first and only Tow-In Big wave contest in North America.

In 2013 a standup paddling exhibition by Ian Wallace, Drew Brophy and Hayley Fisk was such a hit that the Classic expanded the event to include a full SUP event.

Here is some sick drone footage of these 40′ monsters on January 7th 2016

“This deserves to make Oregon Surfing History! We literally were hanging off the cliff to grab the drone every time it came back to land — almost died, LoL. Enjoy!”
