Atlanta, GA (May 15, 2014) — Surf Expo, the world’s #1 standup paddling and watersports trade show, sweeps awards in three categories with honors for growth in attendance, number of exhibitors and net square footage by Trade Show Executive’s Fastest 50.
Each year Trade Show Executive (TSE) recognizes the top 50 performing shows in the categories of net square feet of exhibit space (NSF), number of exhibiting companies and total attendance as part of its annual Fastest 50 Awards. Based on the percentage of growth from 2012 to 2013, Surf Expo’s January show has been distinguished by TSE across all three categories in addition to the September show’s award for total attendance growth.
“The benchmark growth for the average trade show in 2013 was 2.2% in NSF, 2.0% in exhibitors and 0.7% in attendance,” explains Darlene Gudea, President of Trade Show Executive’s Fastest 50 Summit. “The Fastest 50 Class of 2014 beat that by a long shot, growing 14.9% in NSF, 15.1% in exhibitors and 22.1% in attendance.”
Surf Expo Show Director, Roy Turner will be attending the Fastest 50 Awards Ceremony in Chicago, where the overall rankings will be announced on May 21.

News of Surf Expo’s prominent position among The Fastest 50 Class of 2014 is one of many accolades received by the show this season. Surf Expo also won the Fastest-Growing Attendance Award in the for-profit tradeshow category, and overall Fastest-Growing Show at the annual Trade Show News Network (TSNN) Awards held in Reno, NV.
