Rye Beach NH May Restrict Sup Use

Global Partner

Feb. 2nd MEETING:

no surfingRye is trying to pass a bill to limit rentals, lessons, surf camps, paddle-boarding and races/triathlons on all town beaches.

We need everyone’s support to defeat this infringement on OUR rights to OUR beaches, so here is what to do, We Need 30 mins. of your time to save OUR beaches.

1). The Meeting is This Saturday, Feb 2nd, it starts at 9 a.m., but they may not discuss surfing until after 12 p.m., so we have set up a text message system to let people know an hour before the bill is discussed:

***Text “savethesurf” to phone # 84483 ***

And we will let you know when you need to be @ The Rye Jr. High

2). If we have fewer supporters than opponents at the meeting, we will lose this battle!!! You do not need to be a town resident to attend or speak at the meeting!!!! We need everyone’s support!!!

*Information you may want to know before attending:*

-The Town did not consult any local surf shop or The Beach Commission before proposing this article, and it affects everyone’s use of our beaches.

-This is the link to the full town article, please look at Article 15:http://www.town.rye.nh.us/Pages/RyeNH_Selectmen/2013%20Warrant%20with%20maps.pdf

We need everyone’s help on this, Please Please Please pass this along to anyone who appreciates using Rye’s beaches without town restrictions.

See you Saturday!
