The Oleron Stand Up Paddle Challenge will take place in France from the 22nd – 24th June 2012. It will be a 4 Star event boasting $10,000 in prize-money and feature some of Europe’s and the world’s best battling it out for the cash and the vital ranking points towards their overall World Series Ranking.
The weekend of racing will feature the infamous long distance race passing some of the most impressive landmarks in France’s history, but also challenging the athlete’s endurance and skill. The sprint race will feature the World Series elimination format, providing a great contrast to the long distance endurance race. Then there will be some fun free surf expression sessions to complete a full weekend of fun in what is one of the most beautiful corners of France – an event not to be missed.

Starting with a Na Kama Kai youth Clinic on the Saturday afternoon (30th June), the main event will kick off on the Sunday (1st July) with the World Series Sprints, while the long distance race will take place on the Monday (2nd July).
The W Hotel are offering special rates for competitors, as well as transportation options to the beach and will be hosting both opening and closing ceremonies. Castaways, right at North Avenue Beach will be hosting the Sunday night live music and celebrations.
